Starting out June with that much rain is amazing. We got nearly an inch here over last week, but now the heat and dry has returned. Enjoy your cornucopia of birds!

Yeah, so unheard of in early June--we actually we under a floor watch! One meteorologist said he'd never seen a flood watch in early June in his 30 years of reporting the weather!

Okay...back to the birds...

A flood watch in early June is definitely an anomaly, but hurricane leftovers can bring an abundance of precipitation. I hope the birds are continuing to surprise you; here it's the gray catbirds, who are singing from the riparian along the Uncompahgre in unusual numbers right now. :)
