Yeah, so unheard of in early June--we actually we under a floor watch! One meteorologist said he'd never seen a flood watch in early June in his 30 years of reporting the weather!
A flood watch in early June is definitely an anomaly, but hurricane leftovers can bring an abundance of precipitation. I hope the birds are continuing to surprise you; here it's the gray catbirds, who are singing from the riparian along the Uncompahgre in unusual numbers right now. :)
