Awesome, awesome, awesome. It’s so funny to live in a place that only has one kind of hummingbird and realize it’s the one you don’t get there. Those are so incredibly beautiful.
Congrats on #16! Wonderful photos, Ken. We only get the ruby-throated hummingbird up here (delightful and yet very territorial little devils). I can’t imagine that much variety. 🥰
Thanks Bryn! I imagine your ruby-throats are like our rufous--they spend more time chasing other hummingbirds than feeding...even with multiple feeders!
So many species!! Lucky you... We have only four, none of them migratory and three endemic.
What amazing photos and such beautiful humming birds!

Thanks Karen! Yes, the Ruby-throat owns most of the country...but not AZ. I guess it's been crowded out...
Such beautiful photos! The Lucifer sure has a long impressive beak!
Thanks Kate! Yes, impressive--one of their identifying features!
I shall never tire of viewing your photographs of Hummingbirds. How can I even choose a favorite. I guess I’ll have to show allegiance to ‘my own’
Ruby Throats.Congrats,
Plain-capped Starthroat.
Thanks Lor. We had a ruby-throat in Bisbee at a friend's house a few years ago. Love to have a nice male visit the yard!

Thank you so much! Truly exquisite photos!
Thank you! Once in a while, out of the thousands of photos I take, one or two stands out!
Riches.
Indeed. Better than fine jewels for sure.
Impressive photos of hummingbirds. My efforts have been mostly futile.
