Another great post. Love those snakes! Got the Window Collision Tape yesterday. Hope it's going to work. Birds are nesting already!

Thanks Arlene! Let know how it goes with the tape--yep, lots of nesting activity going on here! A pair of Curve-billeds collecting material today--wish I had a Crissal's!

We have two Curve-billeds building nests at the house as well as a Bewick's Wren on the patio. HOFIs are taking nesting material to some unknown location. I've never found one of their nests! The Crissal is hanging out in the wash so I'll have to keep an eye out for nesting activity down there. They like really dense vegetation and usually nest almost on the ground in it. I'm hoping this wind blows in a few more hummers.

I could barely see it because it was embedded at the base of a tree in Russian Thistle. I should have gone back and taken a photo after they fledged.
