It's good to "hear" your voice. I talked with Joanne yesterday; let her know, and we had tears to say the least and, of course, there were also some recollections that made both of us laugh. He did it on purpose, and he was always right! Or, so he said. Be well, we can chatter any time you wish!
So sad to hear. Richard Shelton was one of the first Arizona writers I discovered when I first moved here. It is a loss for for us all, and we will miss his authentic voice. I share your grief.
