Actually, Ken, I think its more about location. Who wants to lie on the ground at the shorebird choices we have compared to living on a coast? In Benson you get to take photos through a cyclone fence, at Lake Cochise you risk your health, at Whitewater, not an option either.

Yeah, and those are my go-tos for shorebirds, and usually in the middle of the day when the sun is beating down or the wind is blowing!
Same here. The worst is Lake Cochise when it's hot, stinks and those white gnats fly inside your car by the thousands when you open a window.
