Sink into some beautiful words and images from my backyard in Bisbee, Arizona.

For only $5 a month ($50/year), you’ll get full access to my twice-weekly (or more!) posts of lyrical nature writing with its gorgeous bird photography. Follow me as I attempt to document in words and images every bird that comes to my yard where I live in that birdwatcher’s paradise of southeast Arizona.

I’ve been a nature writer for three decades, publishing hundreds of stories in magazines and literary journals like the Los Angeles Times, Orion, Arizona Highways, Gettysburg Review, and The Best American Science and Nature Writing 2000. I have written six books, including Wilderness and Razor Wire (Mercury House), which won the 2002 John Burroughs Medal for outstanding nature writing.  My latest book, Chasing Arizona (University of Arizona Press) is a 2015 Southwest Book of the Year.  I hold degrees in biology and creative writing and live with my wife in an 1890s stone cottage on the old mule road near Bisbee where I spend my days mostly fixing the plumbing.  www.kenlamberton.com
